PMG welcome Pete Gillham, the owner of Dockside Marine & Mechanical, your Mobile Marine Diesel Mechanic, based in Tauranga.

Pete provides expert servicing and repairs for marine diesel engines and onboard mechanical systems.

Having worked on, and owned yachts and motorboats for the past two decades, Pete is meticulous about the details, with a deep understanding of the emotional and financial value of the vessels he works with.

His naval training and experience on super yachts ensures an extra layer of care, from the little things like removing shoes before boarding a vessel and putting a drop cloth down before placing a tool bag on deck, to removing all rubbish and cleaning off fingerprints at the end of a job.

Pete also builds relationships that go far beyond repairs. Clients often call for a chat or some advice – even if that’s just a great fishing spot! He scopes every problem in depth, before drawing on his own seafaring and engineering experience to create a solution.
