Description:

Kokah started her life in 1992 as a demonstration boat for Beneteau. So she features a few luxury extras, including a champagne basin with drainage for melting ice in the galley, and a rum cabinet by the navigation table. Kokah sailed from France to the Carribean to Australia, Fiji and now NZ.

Masthead sloop, fiberglass hull with fin bulb keel and blade rudder. In-mast main furl and furled genoa.

Massive clears and bimini provide excellent escape from weather. The refurbished teak seats surrounding the cockpit and wheel provides seating for 8 comfortably around an extending table for picnic once anchored up in a cove. The swimming platform on her stern is the perfect spot for the more novice manu, with a shower for hosing off once tired out. Two drying lockers on the platform make good storage for fishing equipment of drying wetsuits.

Inside:

She has two aft double cabins with robes and an owners cabin forward with its own bathroom. The 2nd bathroom is next to the galley. The galley is equipped with ample storage, a deep fridge and a 2021 new gas cooker and dual hob. Dining squabs were replaced in 2020 with easy clean micro suede.

Sailing:

Running rigging back to cockpit provides safe sailing. With 4 self-tailing Lewmar winches (No 30 x 2, No 48 x 2) and the following tech she can easily be sailed single handed:

Last haulout was August 2025, in preparation for sale. Her mast and rigging were inspected and tuned to Beneteau specifications. Hull, keel and fin were sanded back, repaired where required and antifouled. Prop speed was applied and good condition anodes replaced with new.

Whilst she was out of the water, the owners had her inspected, this report is available on request. If you wish to complete your own, there is a haulout facility close by.

Currently berthed in Te Ana Marina, Lyttelton. 12m mooring can be taken over directly with consultation with the Te Ana Marina manager at $660/month including gst.
