Hi, I’m Andrew Parrish, PMG’s new broker for Nelson.
I started sailing Optimists and P-Class as a youngster and have owned a range of trailer yachts and keelboats over the years. These days, home is a 41-foot cutter, which we sailed to New Caledonia and Vanuatu this season, and I know the Nelson, Abel Tasman and Marlborough Sounds cruising grounds well. In my opinion some of the best and most varied boating water New Zealand has to offer.
Professionally, I’ve spent more than 20 years in local government, working alongside communities to improve the environment while preserving our economic outputs. Doing that successfully means listening carefully, earning trust, understanding objections, and helping people reach decisions they feel confident about.
I believe those skills translate well to boat brokerage.
I bring practical boating knowledge, enthusiasm, and the confidence to connect with people from all walks of life.
Having owned and lived aboard boats, I also understand how much thought, money and emotion goes into choosing the right one.
