PMG welcomes Craig Beetson to our brokerage team.

In 2021 Craig and his wife made the decision to relocate to the Coromandel Peninsula from the Waikato. They purchased a home in Whitianga, and his wife has established a successful local business.

Craig holidayed in Whitianga since he was a child staying at The Buffalo Beach Motor Camp.

He has been in or on the water all of his life, and his first memories range from learning to row a dinghy against the current tied off the stern of a ¼ tonner that my father helped build and then sail in the Auckland to Suva yacht race back in the 70s’ while we were anchored in Islington Bay between Rangitoto and Motutapu Islands, to kayaking and learning to sail in a Laser. Then learning to handle a trailer boat, fishing and scuba diving. I’ve competed on the NZWSRA circuit as a driver towing numerous water skiers including my wife where we achieved some National Titles. Craig says “I had a crack at slalom water skiing which was a spectacular failure, so stuck with driving”.

Craig, a builder, has now put down his hammer and wants to encourage others to share his love for all things nautical, and help them into boat ownership or expand their horizons into something a little bigger or alternatively dial life back a bit and downsize.
