1983 MkII Cavalier 39

Mean Time is a fine example of the Bob Salthouse designed Mk II Cavalier 39.

She was built in Auckland by Export Yachts New Zealand and launched in 1983. Powered by the ever-reliable Perkins 60 with a full range of sails. Mean Time has recently sailed coastal New Zealand and has been offshore. She has plenty of extras onboard which will go a long way towards gaining CAT1 again.

Mean Time has a spacious interior, full headroom, a well set up galley, central saloon dining, forward cabin with v-berth and wardrobe, double quarter berth cabin with a chart table starboard side. The head has a standing height shower, hot and cold water and manual head with holding tank.

The cockpit is safe and roomy, with plenty of storage both in the cabin and exterior in locker.

A professional osmosis job was done on Mean Time when she was purchased by the current owner in 2022 and her most recent antifoul was completed in January 2025. Mean Time is seriously well set up and ready to go on your next adventure, and at $79,000 she is very well priced!
